Introduction for Service design

A PBL program for developing plans for solving international social problems. Participants experience problem-solving methodology optimized for Hokkaido University, which is based on the Finnish design thinking program of the University of Lapland.

HP4
Practical PBL programs

Practical PBL programs to enhance business skills such as creation of business plans and short presentation by utilizing real social problems. The program is consisting of three elements:

  1. Venture business creation utilizing Sapporo IoT as business infrastructure
  2. Cultivate intre-preneurs, internal entrepreneurs inside corporation, by solving real corporate issues together with the corporate staff using the framework of DEMOLA, a Finish innovation platform of industry-academia collaboration.
  3. Global social entrepreneur business contest, Hult Prize, which is sponsored by United Nations.

HP5
Career education program oriented to entrepreneurs

Career education program for undergraduate students encouraging to self-developing skills to embrace multiple career options such as founding a company, intre-preneuer, an internal corporate innovator, advancing to graduate schools. Using flipped education and group-learning methodology, the program aims to develop students with high EQ (Emotional Quotient) which is essential for joining the HP1 through HP4 of EDGE-NEXT programs of Hokkaido University or equivalent programs.
